Like our Penn’s Neck Substation project, Plauderville Substation 69kV project was also part of PSEG’s statewide initiative to replace or supplement 50-plus-year-old 26kV lines to bring 69kV power throughout the state.

Working closely with PSEG, Ferreira Construction was the prime contractor responsible for demolishing existing foundations, the control house, and grounding. Additionally, Ferreira installed the new 69kV yard foundations and a GIS building, 13kV and 69kV manholes, duct banks, a retaining wall around the entire site, raising the grade approximately 2’ and all new non-conductive fencing.
