Working closely with the state of New Jersey, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) announced 2021 the New Jersey Wind Port project. The New Jersey Wind Port will be a transformative, hub-style marshaling and manufacturing port project that will serve offshore wind projects in New Jersey and up and down the United States East coast.
The project is located on the eastern shore of the Delaware River in Lower Alloways Creek, Salem County, New Jersey. Ferreira and RE Pierson are a joint venture for this project and are responsible for concrete test piles (land and marine), concrete caps, plan and deck, and marine accessories. This portion of the project is currently ongoing and is set to be completed in 2024.
