At the beginning of 2021, Liberty Utilities announced its intentions to resume updating its natural gas distribution system. Liberty Utilities is currently in the process of replacing all of its priority pipes within a 20-year timeframe. These improvements will make their system more reliable and safer while reducing methane emissions. Ferreira Atlantic has installed roughly 55 miles of natural gas distribution mains using the Jack and Bore method. Additionally, Ferreira Atlantic has replaced more than 1,500 existing gas services. By the end of 2024, an additional 102 miles of gas distribution mains and 8,600 gas services will be installed.
